Reunion...

This past weekend, we went to the Pavek family reunion. My mom has one brother, and except for his son Mike (who is currently stationed in Korea with his family), everyone lived close enough to get together on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Joe (my cousin/godson) and Sarah were our gracious hosts. And Sarah, being the fabulous mom that she is, planned bunches of games for the kids after lunch, and they had a blast!! All the kids are around the same age, and are finally old enough to really play well together. It was fun for everyone!

First they raced --

Wait for it . . . wait for it . . .

Gabbie got a little lost in the crowd, so she ran her own race. We cheered, and she beamed!

Even the big "kids" got in on the fun!

Now that's some action! (click on the photo to make it larger. I LOVE their faces!!)

In position for the crab-walk.

Baseball with Grandpa too.

We tried for a group shot . . . and that didn't work out too well. But all the kids did make it into the picture. I think that has to count for something!

What sweet faces!!

I intentionally made this next photo black and white, so Anna's orange soda stained mouth wasn't so obvious. She was in treat heaven!!

I have such great memories of growing up with my cousins. Every birthday, every holiday, we were together. It wasn't a real celebration unless we could celebrate together. And now, even through my Grandma and Grandpa are gone, I love that we still get together, and that my kids get to know all of my cousins kids!

Thanks Joe and Sarah for hosting us!! We look forward to next year.

  1. I did not know that you were so talented with a camera. I am always amazed how each of the grandchildren (meaning you eight) have developed new talents and grown so in their personal lives. We ALl have a lot to be thankful for.
